i know it's a bit early... but i'm planning my halloween costume. pondering it at least.

im going to need some long light pink and blue in with my natural hair. can you curl kanekalon hair? i'd like it to be wavey. would i be able to curl it with a big curling iron and tug it and brush it into soft waves?

thanks

You can curl it but be careful! To make curly dreads, I wrap it around a dowel and pour boiling water over it. Ive never tried an iron. I would think that you would need to wrap your iron in foil so that you dont accidentally ruin it and turn it on the LOWEST heat possible. If it doesnt go low enough, you might want to try the dowel and water method. Just wrap the hair. If you want waves, don't let it cool completely on the dowel, maybe unwind it and hang it to dry.

I would get an extra bag of hair and experiment.

Also, Ive seen wavy toyokalon, why not try that out so you dont have ot worry about it?

are you curling them as loose hair or dreads?

if you are planning on using it as loose hair i would suggest the tokyolon because the kanekalon will make huge knotty messes that is unbreakable, which is why they are so good for dreadlock making. But if you are making dreads, just make them regularly and get a long metal pole and rubberband a few of them wrapped around it at a time and put your steamer over it and roll it around like a corn dog so that all sides get evenly steamed. Be careful and don't touch the pole though! You might end up with some crispy fingers!

loose. on clips. chunks of wavy color in my own longish wavy/curly.

since the wavy tokyolon was reccomended i did some googling a while back, but i was only coming up with natural colors. i'm looking for pinks and blues.

what if i attached the kanekalon to the clips, and then rolled the hair around something for like a month? would that offer some kind of wavy texture? i know when i was a kid i had made barbie/my little pony hair wavy by doing that.
